A much better introduction
The Forest wiki lets you edit its look and feel in the browser. You can edit this page, or you can edit a layout shared by many pages.
The Forest Wiki is a tree of Wiki pages. A basic principal in human factors is that there should be no more than about 7 items in any category. Infinite lists are a human factors disaster. Here the content is organized as a tree. It is trivial to reorganize the tree using the management view.
The Forest Wiki supports a hierarchical security model.
The site admin can grant a person edit permission on branches of the tree, and they can recursively grant edit permissions to child branches.
This model maps well to organization charts.
The Forest Wiki makes it easy to get started with your custom design, but it does not limit you. I built multiple single page web applications on top of the Forest Wiki.
